"Gift of Awareness" 72" x 30 inches acrylic on canvas, is displayed in the Wasauksing First Nations Community Center. A same-sized copy hangs in the Parry Sound Library, the town just next to Wasauksing.  Wasauksing is an island located on Georgian Bay, in Ontario Canada. This is Kait's gift to the community in honor of her mother and her mother's siblings as well as countless others. Along with many across the country, survivors and families observe National Day of Truth and Reconciliation every year on September 30. Many children did not survive the atrocities served to them.
